Our Pastors
Our pastors are godly men who love the Lord, His Word, and His church. Their calling is to shepherd the church by faithfully preaching the Word, providing spiritual oversight, and caring for the souls entrusted to them. They seek to lead the church with humility and wisdom while pointing her continually to Christ, the Chief Shepherd. Their ministry reflects the heart of our Savior, who lovingly laid down His life for His sheep. The ministry of First Baptist Whitesburg would not be possible without their faithful leadership and sacrificial service.
Our Deacons

Our deacons are a group of godly men who love the Lord and his church. Their function is to serve the church by faithfully ministering to her needs. They truly exemplify the character of our Savior, who came not to be served but to serve (Matthew 20:28). The ministry of First Baptist Whitesburg would not be possible without them.

Our Staff
Our staff is made up of faithful men and women who love the Lord and His church. They serve by using their gifts and abilities to support the ministry of the church and care for its people. Their faithful service is a vital part of the ministry of First Baptist Whitesburg.
Our Volunteers
The ministry of the church is not carried out by a few people—it is the work of the entire body of Christ. God has uniquely gifted every believer to serve, and each member plays an important role in building up the church and advancing the gospel.
The Apostle Paul reminds us, “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body… the eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I have no need of you’” (1 Corinthians 12:12, 21). Every member matters, and every act of service is valuable in God’s kingdom.
There are far too many faithful volunteers to name individually, but we are deeply grateful for every person who serves. From preparing meals and teaching children to running sound, welcoming guests, maintaining our facilities, serving in outreach, leading worship, praying behind the scenes, and countless other acts of service, each person plays a vital part in the life of our church.
Scripture teaches, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10). We believe God has gifted every believer for service, and there is a place for everyone to use those gifts for His glory.
Every servant matters. Every gift matters. Every part matters. Together, we are the body of Christ, serving one another and seeking to know Him and make Him known.
